My theme of inspiration is classical ballet. Ballet is an expressive, beautiful, and very exciting art form that reflects both dramatic and comedic situations, related to love, humor, tragedy, or joy in general. It was in France, throughout the 17th century and during the reign of Louis XIV, a renowned dancer, that it began to spread throughout the country, initially among courtiers and later by dancers until it became a professional art.
For me, dance holds great importance in my life; I believe it is an art form capable of revealing the hidden message of the soul. Specifically, I consider ballet to be an essential discipline for practicing any type of dance in the future; it is the foundation of dance education.
The focus of my design line has been on ballet attire. The most distinctive part of ballet clothing is the tutu, which originated with George Balanchine, a ballet master, and his seamstress, Barbara Karinska, who created the concept of «dust puff.» This concept referred to the short tutu that became popular in the second half of the 20th century.
The word «tulle» comes from the French city of Tulle in Limousin, where much of the production of Parisian ballet costumes was made.
